Ladies Bowls

Hat Head Women's Bowling Club was affiliated on 7th August 1964 and we had 12 Foundation Members one who is still living in Kempsey. At present there are four Life Members. We have produced many good bowlers over the years two of which in 1996 Di Styles (skip) and Joanne McGuire were Runners up in the State Pairs in Sydney to Australian Representative Merle Richardson and her sister.

Our club won the No 4 District Pennant in 1992, in 1995 we won the No3 District Pennant and in 2004 the No4 District Pennant. Hat Head ladies have been Winners and Runners up in all the District events i.e; District Pairs, Triples & Fours & five District Singles Champions namely Norma Amor, Di Styles, Melyn Fleming, Joanne McGuire & Narelle Harvey. We have also been winners of the Macleay v Hastings Haven, James Wall Shield, Smithtown Master Fours & were Wolinski Shield State Quarter finalists.

We are only a very small club now and our membership is 17 and only 9 of those are able to play. We participate in all invitation games within our District and are very dedicated to our club. An open invitation is extended to men and women to join us for social bowls on Thursdays. New bowlers will be most welcome.
